How do apprenticeships work?

Apprenticeships combine practical work with structured off-job training to provide a nationally recognised trade qualification. This includes:

  • paid employment for the term of employment
  • a four year contract of training approved by the Training and Skills Commission
  • a training program delivered by a registered training organisation (eg. TAFE), with fees paid by SA Water

Who is eligible to apply for apprenticeships?

There are no restrictions on an applicant's age regarding an apprenticeship with SA Water. A current drivers licence is required.

When can I apply?

SA Water’s next intake of Apprentices will commence in January 2012. These positions will be advertised during September 2011.

For enquiries please contact the Recruitment Programs Team.
