Keep your water meter free from obstruction to allow easy access for meter reading or maintenance

Ensure your household plumbing is properly maintained

Engage an appropriately licensed plumber to carry out any plumbing tasks

Keep overflow relief points clear of obstruction (this is the grate usually adjacent to the building which ensures any overflow occurs outside of your house)

Keep your sewer inspection point free of obstruction

Do not allow stormwater to enter the sewerage system via your downpipes or other means

Never pour oil, grease, paints, solvents, weedkiller or other toxic chemicals down the drain. These are hazardous to maintenance workers, detrimental to treatment processes and damaging to the environment.
