SA Water is Trees for Life’s inaugural Golden Wattle sponsor. Trees For Life is a non-profit, community organisation with over 10,000 members across South Australia. Its aim is to promote and assist in the revegetation of South Australia and the protection of its remnant vegetation.

 

Trees for Life promotes best practice bush and land management methods resulting in protection of biodiversity and habitat, long-term threat abatement, minimal use of pesticides and the establishment and maintenance of sustainable vegetation with a minimal use of resources, including water.

 

SA Water is a sponsor the Tree Scheme - helping to subsidise the cost of the program and ensure it remains affordable. The Tree Scheme grows over one million seedlings for South Australia annually. City based volunteers grow seedlings for landholders (or they grow their own) to help revegetate degraded land.
