PDF Printing
Main Document and Information
The document is stored as A4 pages and will print without set-up changes on most printers.
Drawings
The drawings are stored as A3 drawings, but they are fully scalable and can be printed in A4, A3 or larger sizes depending on the available printer or plotter.
The drawings can be selected and printed as a complete section or as single drawings, eg:
Section B series, or
B, B1, B2, B3 etc
Note: When the full section has been selected, you can use the "Show navigation pane" icon (third icon from the left) and then the "Thumbnail" tab which will allow you to navigate easily through the drawings. This works on other PDF files as well.
Setting up the Printer
When printing set up the printer as follows:
-
Select the printer / plotter you wish to use (must be able to print the size page you require)
-
Select the paper size you require
-
Set the print mode to "Fit to page", "Scale to fit" or similar (usually in a toggle box)
-
Print the drawing
Note: Some older printers with limited memory may struggle to print the larger files. If this is a problem select "Print as Image" (usually in a toggle box) and then try printing again.
