SA Water recently launched Captain Plop’s Water-Saving Mission, an educational picture book which is aimed at helping children from 4 ‐ 8 years old understand the importance of water conservation around the home.
The book had been designed as an informative and engaging resource and is part of SA Water’s School Education Program for 2009.
Captain Plop’s Water-Saving Mission is the first in a proposed series of books focusing on waterwise messages for young children and aimed at increasing the water literacy of South Australians.
The book focuses in on the three simple messages for water conservation in the home ‐ stop leaking taps, don’t leave taps running and use dual‐flush toilet cisterns.
Copies of Captain Plop’s Water-Saving Mission will be sent to each South Australian school, pre‐school and public library.
