SA Water recently launched Captain Plop: the desalination adventure a fictional picture book which explains the process of desalination. This book is the second in a series produced by SA Water on the adventures of Captain Plop.
Written by Hayley Morton, the SA Water Librarian, this new publication engages 5-9 year olds with the concept and process of desalination. The book fills a current gap in resources of its kind for this age group and is timely with construction of the Adelaide Desalination Project well under way.
Captain Plop’s Water-Saving Mission, the first in the series is aimed at helping children from 4 ‐ 8 years old understand the importance of water conservation around the home.
