In 2003, the State Government commenced implementation of the Greening of Government Operations (GoGO) framework - a plan outlining how
South Australia
’s Government agencies will change their own practices to minimise environmental impact.
SA Water is working with other government agencies to:
- Identify water savings opportunities.
- Develop and implement water conservation plans.
- Optimise water efficiency, review bills, monitor flow meters and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide advice and information on water-saving equipment and devices.
- Provide advice on retrofitting toilets, urinals, showers, taps and drinking fountains in existing government facilities.
- Provide advice on the use of greywater for landscaping and irrigation purposes.
- Provide tools and services to enable auditing of water consumption.
