Do Water Wise Measures mean water quality is affected?
Water Wise Measures should not have any effect on water quality.

Can I use a rainwater tank?
If your rainwater tank is exclusively supplied by rainwater, yes. However, Water Wise Measures apply when your tank is topped up with mains water supply. For further information about rainwater tanks including types, components, sizes and maintenance visit the Department of Water website.

Permit applications can be downloaded from the SA Water website or by calling the Water Wise Hotline on 1800 130 952. We will endeavour to forward a response to permit applications within 10 working days. Permits all include a valid to date.

Am I able to cool captive animals or birds?
Yes, this is permitted for the health and welfare of animals.
