Captain Plop Series
SA Water, in partnership with the Department for Education and Child Development (DECD) has produced the Captain Plop book series for primary students and teachers. Written by Hayley Morton, the SA Water Librarian, the books follow the adventures of Captain Plop a super hero made from water. There are now three books in the series focusing on important water issues in South Australia.
The Captain Plop books are suitable for R-4 students with each book focusing on important water issues in South Australia and linking to learning areas in the Australian Curriculum.
To ensure a wide range of young people across South Australia access the book and read and discuss this important message, SA Water is providing each public library in the state with a free copy. To celebrate the launch of the new Captain Plop book, we are offering schools free class sets of all three books in the series by filling in the following School Order Form.
For a limited time, free copies are also being offered to the general community and can be collected from
SA Water Customer Service Centre SA Water House Ground Floor, 250 Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga Adelaide SA 5000
If you live in regional South Australia and would like a free copy of the Captain Plop books, please email brainwave@sawater.com.au
