The Lower Lakes Irrigation Pipeline project is part of the State Government’s Murray Futures project, funded by the Australian Government's Water for the Future program.
The irrigation pipeline was completed in December 2009 and now supplies water from the River Murray at Jervois to the Langhorne Creek and Currency Creek region providing access to irrigation water to sustain valuable horticultural industries in the region.
SA Water managed the delivery of the project with Leed Engineering and Construction constructing the pipe. Construction began in mid-autumn 2009 and was completed in late 2009.
The Creeks Pipeline Company now owns and operate the pipeline. More information about the Creeks Pipeline Company can be obtained from their website, or phone Chris Heysen on 0400 332 916.
