As part of our commitment to improving water quality across South Australia, and following a review of our supply in peak demand, we are constructing a new pipeline in Robe to augment the existing supply to the township.
In 2007-08 we constructed a new trial bore at an existing site on the outskirts of Robe. After a year of monitoring we found it appropriate to use this trial bore as an additional source of water for our customers.
Construction is being completed to connect this new bore to the existing Iron Removal Plant via the new 2.8 kilometre pipeline. Construction of the pipeline started in early September 2009. The system is on track for completion in November 2009.
We engaged BJ Jarrad to undertake the works and the construction hours of work will be 7am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 3.30pm on Saturday.
