Proposed Sewerage Scheme at Sellicks Beach and Silver Sands
 
At the request of the City of Onkaparinga, SA Water prepared a concept plan for a sewerage scheme at Sellicks Beach and Aldinga Beach South (Silver Sands). In late 2010, SA Water in conjunction with the City of Onkaparinga conducted several information sessions for property owners about this concept plan.

The sewerage system concept plan includes construction of a new sewer trunk main, sewer reticulation (pipe) network, pumping stations, and an upgrade of the Aldinga Wastewater Treatment Plant to accommodate additional sewage. The estimated cost to undertake the works proposed by the sewerage system concept is $66 million.

Currently a $13.3 million funding shortfall exists against the $66 million capital cost of the scheme. Until this funding shortfall can be met, there will be no further steps taken toward the scheme.
