Your SA Water account contains some very important information and we want to help you understand it. Please click on either of the icons on the right for full explanations of each account section.

Account number

 

This is a unique reference for your property. You will need this number to pay your account using the Internet Payment Option.

 

Date of Notice

 

This is the date that your account was prepared by us.

 

Previous Balance

 

This is the amount owed on your last account after payment was made.

 

Total This Account

 

This is the amount that is owed for this account.

 

Total Amount

 

This is the amount of money you owe for service and usage charges for the billing period. It may also include unpaid amounts from a previous account.

 

Pay By Date

 

This is the date by which you are required to pay your account. Any previous balance is overdue.

 

Arrangements to pay

 

In some special circumstances we will consider giving you extra time to pay your account. If you are having difficulty meeting your payment date please send an email to our Customer Centre or call 1300 650 950.

Let us know when you have a change of name or postal address. Please send an email to our Customer Centre or call 1300 650 950. Alternatively, you can simply complete this secure form.

 

Water Quarterly Supply Charge

 

A water supply charge is the amount we ask you to pay quarterly to deliver water to your property. This helps to pay for the construction, maintenance and operation of systems such as pipes and dams.

 

Water Use Charge

 

This is the amount we ask you to pay for pumping, treatment and filtration of water to your property. The water use charge is based on the amount of water you use. This means that the less water you use, the less you pay. In your home, your garden, your workplace, your school and your community, there are many simple steps you can take to save water and save money  on your bills.

 

Sewer Charge

 

The sewer charge is the amount we ask you to pay each quarter for the removal and treatment of sewage and wastewater. This helps to pay for the construction, maintenance and operation of systems such as pumping stations and treatment plants.

 

Meter Readings and Water Use

 

The back of your account displays meter reading and water use details following each reading of the meter. The majority of residential properties are read every six months.

 

Comparative Water Use

 

This represents a comparison of your current water use with the same period for previous years.
