If your business decides to take part in the Business Water Saver Program we will aim to help you improve your water efficiency by providing the following services;
Comprehensive water audit – an industry tailored audit will among other things, focus on a number of common water using activities and water saving techniques including;

Stormwater and/or rainwater collection

Recycling and reuse opportunities

Water meter analysis

Water efficient plumbing

Capital refurbishment advice and

Pre treatment process improvements

Open space irrigation and landscaping
Site plan - can be developed showing water meter/s location, alternate water supply, sewer discharge point, processes on site including layout for water use activities, percent estimates for water use in each area, and identification of environmental hazards.
Water efficiency report - will be produced for your business detailing steps to achieve possible water savings and improve the quality of wastewater discharged. The report will asses the feasibility of implementing water saving measures through a cost benefit analysis and supply information on suitable service providers.
Education and training – the success of the program in your business will be dependant on effective training and education. The Business Water Saver staff will offer a presentation for management to discuss the water saving measures identified in the report. In addition, further education and promotion can be provided in the form of:
Industry specific benchmarks - where available, industry benchmarks will be used to assist with identifying realistic and achievable water reduction targets.
Monitoring – SA Water will carry out ongoing monitoring and review of water use, wastewater quality and the progress of your water reduction program.
Ongoing support – SA Water will provide ongoing support, to enable you to analyse and understand fluctuations in your water use. In addition the Business Water Saver staff will be available to assist with any issues as they arise and work collaboratively with your staff to solve problems. We also request that your business provides updates on programs implemented, production information and water consumption on a regular basis.
