We provide and administer a wastewater collection and disposal service that satisfies the special needs of our business customers, while meeeting SA Water's responsibilities and goals.
SA Water's collection and treatment systems are designed for wastewater from normal activities in households and "domestic type" wastewater from staff and office amenities such as toilets, showers and tearooms.
Your right to discharge any other material, such as trade waste to our sewer is not automatic, because it could harm our workers and infrastructure, public health or the environment. Trade waste is any wastewater arising from industrial, business, trade or manufacturing processes.
Wherever possible, and where disposal of trade waste to sewer is the best option, we aim to accept this material, but only if the customer applies for and complies with the conditions in their trade waste discharge permit. This is a legal requirement under the Sewerage Regulations 2011.

Trade Waste Branch is located at Level 6, SA Water House, 250 Victoria Square, Adelaide.
The office is open from Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm. However, making a prior appointment will ensure the right person is available to assist you.
