Want a FREE* 3 star WELS (Water Efficiency Labelling Standards Scheme) rated showerhead that will give you a great shower and save you water, energy and money?
Swap and Save is a free showerhead exchange program where householders can trade in their old showerhead in return for a low-flow model.
The program was trialled with ten councils in 2008 under the Waterwise Communities Program lead by SA Water and the Local Government Association. All South Australian Councils will be offered the opportunity to participate in the program in the near future.
By swapping your old showerhead for a 3 star WELS rated water efficient model you could save up to 16,000 litres of water per person annually**.

*Terms and Conditions - Exchange offer is only available to those residents and businesses in the participating council areas. By choosing to take advantage of the Swap and Save Showerhead Exchange Program, you will be unable to get your original showerhead back once exchanged. If you are a tenant, permission is required from your landlord to change over the showerhead/s as stated in the Residential Tenancy Act. SA Water is not responsible for the removal or installation of the showerhead or any damage caused as a result. To install your new showerhead, we recommend following the step-by-step instructions provided. This program is not recommended for those households featuring gravity fed and old instantaneous hot water services due to 3 star rated showerheads not being compatible.
**Calculations based on standard showerhead flow rate of 18 litres per minute and a 3 star showerhead flow rate of 9 litres per minute, for one 5 minute shower per day per person.
