Rebates available

Garden goods - from 1 December 2010, receive 50% of the cost of eligible water efficient garden goods, including Smart Approved WaterMark efficient sprinklers, when you spend a minimum of $100 through to a spend of $400 (maximum rebate available is $200 for 2011-12). This rebate ended on 31 December 2011 and must be claimed by 31 March 2012.
- Stand alone rainwater tanks - from 11 March 2010 up to $200 for a stand alone rainwater tank (a tank not required to be connected to the house)
- Retrofit rebate - for $30 (free for concession card holders) a licensed plumber will come to your home and check your plumbing fixtures and fittings, retrofit water saving devices (including up to two showerheads) and provide water saving advice. Separate terms, conditions and eligibility criteria apply.
In November 2007, the State Government launched the HOME Rebate scheme to encourage South Australian households to achieve greater water savings inside and outside the home. More than 250,000 rebates worth $45 million have been granted on water efficient products.
A number of rebates are no longer available. These include washing machines, showerheads, dual flush toilets, hot water re-circulators, pool covers, pool cover rollers, home water audits and plumbed-in rainwater tanks.
