Warning: Fake SA Water emails are being sent to customers

We have become aware that some of our customers have received emails from someone pretending to represent SA Water.

These emails have a subject relating to “Overdue Notice”, feature SA Water-like branding and include a zip file attachment.

This file should not be opened as it may damage your computer, and the email should be deleted immediately.

SA Water does not email customers overdue notices with zip file attachments. SA Water systems are secure, and no data stored by us has been compromised.

The Federal Government can provide online resources to help recognise and deal with malicious emails.
