Remote Aboriginal communities

Remote Aboriginal communities

We provide services to 20 remote Aboriginal communities in the state.

The communities are located on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY), Maralinga Tjarutja (MT) and Aboriginal Lands Trust (ALT) Lands.

In these communities, we manage:

  • scheduled services
  • water quality monitoring and testing
  • emergency responses to related incidents
  • new consumer connections.

The Federal Government also engaged us to manage a number of capital works improvement projects. Many have already been successfully completed.

As part of the water quality testing, we collect water samples every three months. The samples are tested at laboratories in both Adelaide and Marla.

Water quality data for each community can be found here.
