What is the project?
Management of Leigh Creek is transitioning from Flinders Power Partnership to the State Government.
The transition is being led by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI). This will be done in partnership with the Outback Communities Authority (OCA) and SA Water.
From 14 December 2016, we will take over the management of water and sewerage services in the town.
What can I expect?
Residents will continue to receive the same quality water as they received from Flinders Power.
Throughout 2017, the only difference in service is who customers report faults to.
From 1 January 2018, we will begin water and sewerage charges for all our new Leigh Creek customers. These charges will be consistent with that of all our South Australian customers.
