Myponga Trunk Main Track Upgrade

Myponga Trunk Main Track Upgrade

Project details

We are undertaking works to upgrade access tracks along the Myponga Trunk Main between the Myponga Reservoir Wall and the Sellicks Hill Pump Station.

Importance of the upgrade

The pipeline supplies approximately 45,000 customers with water and is a critical piece of infrastructure transferring water from the Myponga Water Treatment Plant to areas of the Fleurieu Peninsula and some of Adelaide’s southern beach communities.

A comprehensive condition assessment was undertaken by SA Water recently and this identified a need to improve safety and enable all-weather access to the pipeline for our teams to undertake repairs or maintenance when required.

Project timeline

The upgrade is scheduled for completion by mid 2019.
