Penneshaw Desalination Plant Upgrade Works

Penneshaw Desalination Plant Upgrade Works

What is the project?

We are working to upgrade our Penneshaw Desalination Plant, located on Desal Dr, Penneshaw.

Works will be undertaken to increase the output capacity of our Desalination Plant and upgrade Desal Dr to accommodate construction vehicles.

This investment will ensure our plant has the capacity to meet Penneshaw’s future growth and demands.

How long will it take?

Works are scheduled to run from Monday 4 September to late December 2017.

This timeframe may change in the event of technical constraints or poor weather conditions.

The majority of construction work will take place from 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday; however some extended hours may be scheduled at times.

SA Water and its contractors are committed to keeping construction impacts to a minimum. However during construction you may notice work crews in the area, greater vehicle traffic and some temporary noise or dust associated with the works.

Please note, to accommodate construction Desal Drive will be closed to the general public for the duration of our works. SA Water and our contractor will liaise with Desal Drive residents and property owners to maintain their access throughout our works.

Where can I go for more information?

Local residents and businesses will receive further information about the works before construction starts.

For more information please contact SA Water’s Customer Service Centre on 1800 812 362 or email project@sawater.com.au.

We’re improving your services and undertaking maintenance work in Adelaide. Sometimes our crews need to temporarily interrupt the water supply to our customers and/or manage traffic while they are working. Temporary traffic management may remain in place until reinstatement of the impacted road is complete. We always aim to minimise inconvenience by restoring services as safely and quickly as we can.
