Torrens Riverbank Repair Work

Adam Street, Hindmarsh

SA Water will be repairing the Torrens riverbank from early August to mid November, 2017. The work will occur near Adam Street, Hindmarsh, near the Brewery Lights Riverbank Display.

For the safety of our workers, pedestrians and cyclists, the Linear Shared Use Path will be closed between the Holland Street pedestrian bridge and the Port Road underpass.

We are working with DPTI to minimise impacts to existing detours for the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project.

Alders Street, Paradise

SA Water will be repairing the Torrens riverbank near Alders Street, Paradise. Work will commence in early November and will take approximately 6 weeks to complete.

Increased vehicle traffic along Mahogany Drive, Dernancourt and Alders Street, Paradise can be expected.

The cycle path on Tea Tree Gully Council side of the river will remain open during the repair works.

The water level will be lowered between Silkes Road and Lower North East Road for 48 hours at the start and end of the repair works for the safety of our workers.

Remediation of the site, including the repair of the boardwalk will commence once the repair of the riverbank has been completed.
