SA Water continues to deliver on key milestones identified in A Development Industry Report working with South Australia’s Development Industry. As part of our commitment we have now completed the review of 27 Augmentation Charges with only 4 remaining. In addition a new Augmentation Charge for Angle Vale has been introduced to enable urban development in that area.
To improve the Major Land Development process a new Land Development Agreement will be implemented from 1st July 2017. As always SA Water are committed to working with the South Australian Development Industry and will continue to improve what we do.
A short video was also shown which captures some of the improvements that has been made from both an Industry and SA Water point of view.
SA Water customers in Goolwa and surrounding areas, including Goolwa Beach, Goolwa South, Goolwa North and Hindmarsh Island may currently be experiencing discoloured or milky water coming out of their taps.
This water remains safe to drink.
During recent planned maintenance in the area, some existing sediment in the local water supply network has been stirred up, resulting in the discoloured water.
We are working hard to resolve the issue, and we are flushing out the discoloured water. Given the size of the water network in the area, this may take some time. At this stage, we are hoping water supply will return to normal by Friday afternoon.
We will continue to monitor the situation, and provide updates on our website and Facebook page.
