This presentation covers the basics of where water comes from, how we use it, and the ways we can use water safely and responsibly every day and includes a fun healthy sewers activity.

In this presentation we explore where water comes from, how we use it, and how essential it is for our daily lives. We also give an overview of why we need to treat water, water’s different forms, and the water cycle.
Water now, in the past and future
We dive into the water cycle and cover South Australian water sources from the past, present and future, including Aboriginal communities’ connection to and custodianship of land and waters.
Managing our natural resources
We look at the way SA Water delivers safe, clean water to over 1.7 million South Australians and ensures water security for the future. We discuss water sources in South Australia, water treatment, desalination, recycling water, and sustainable practices.
Senior student sessions
Whether studying desalination in senior chemistry, exploring environmental impacts on reservoir reserves in geography, engineering a design solution for a water quality issue, or another water management topic in a senior class, our education team can offer support.
