A trio of towers – Geostop 1
There may be two stone towers in the reservoir’s waters, but there’s a more modern metal tower on land. This tower controls the flow of something, but it’s not water.
Head east until you find it (to your right if you’re facing the reservoir). Once you arrive, scan the QR code on top of the short wooden waypoint post nearby for your next clue.
Happy Valley Reservoir Reserve features one of Adelaide’s largest metropolitan reservoirs. It holds up to 12.6 billion litres of water.
One billion litres of water alone is equivalent to one million cubic metres of water. That’s like a giant cube of water about two and a half times the height of Wayville Showgrounds’ iconic Ferris wheel. Despite this, the reservoir provides only around 40 per cent of Adelaide’s households.
