Claims for damages
If you've been injured or your property has been lost or damaged because of work we've done, we will investigate. Please email us to lodge a claim for damages. We also encourage potential litigants to approach SA Water before commencing formal action.
How to submit your claim
The easiest way is to email our insurance claims team. Please make sure that you attach all supporting evidence, including the circumstances surrounding the incident, copies of receipts and quotes, and photos.
How we'll process your claim
Once we receive the customer email, we will:
- reply within 5 days to let you know we've received it
- investigate your claim fully
- contact you if we need more information – you may need to provide 2 quotes to support a property damage claim
- arrange an independent investigation if necessary
- inform you of the outcome of the investigation when it's finished.
