Wirrina Cove Reservoir
The Wirrina Cove Reservoir supplies the Wirrina Cove drinking water network on the Fleurieu Peninsula and also irrigates local public spaces such as the golf course, gardens and parks.
This reservoir is fed from a surface water catchment at its southern end, providing two local tourism operators with water for irrigation – the Wirrina Cove Holiday Park and the New Terry Hotel and Golf Resort – and pumps water to a nearby treatment plant before flowing to the community as their drinking water supply. Water from this reservoir undergoes several treatment processes prior to being delivered as water of safe, drinking water standard.
SA Water manages the Wirrina Cove Reservoir under an agreement with the District Council of Yankalilla, the landholder of the reservoir
