Drinking water for community events
Our Quench Benches are one of the simplest ways to offer drinking water at your community events. They are available in Metro Adelaide, Riverland, Yorke Peninsula and Port Lincoln for community events expecting more than 1000 attendees - and they are free of charge!
The Quench Bench is a trailer fitted with six water spouts, with three located on each side. It requires access to the mains water supply, we will install it prior to your event.
For events in metropolitan Adelaide with between 500 and 1000 attendees, we may be able to provide a water fountain instead.

Your site requirements
To use our Quench Bench or Water Fountains, your event site requires:
- a flat site for its location (Preferably grass) – the Quench Bench is 5m (length) x 3m (height) x 2.5m (width); a Water Fountain (portable) is 0.5m (length) x 1.3m (height) x 0.23m (width)
- a drive-through site, as the trailer can't be reversed or moved by hand
- access to an SA Water drinking water mains connection point within 5 metres
- an event manager to help with directions, parking, and set up and pack down (preferably during business hours).
- a minimum event time of 5 hours
We may need to conduct a site audit prior to your event to ensure your drinking point and site access meet the requirements. Your event manager will need to be onsite for this audit.
How to book
To apply for a Quench bench or fountain, please complete the Quench Bench and Water Fountain application form at least three weeks before the event. All booking requests are assessed on a case-by case basis and subject to availability. Please note - Minimum event duration: 5 hours.
