Murray-Darling Basin water trading requirements

We may participate in southern Murray-Darling Basin water markets during 2025–26 through the purchase or sale of eligible tradeable water rights, which includes allocations and entitlements.

We will manage our water allocations and holdings to meet Critical Human Water Needs requirements and other statutory and commercial obligations. This is based on customer demand and other business requirements.

When water allocations or holdings are not required to meet water security requirements of our customers, they may be made available to the market. This announcement may be updated if there are significant changes to customer demand or business requirements.
